Merry Christmas 2007
Now that you are getting older, I think this is the first year that you had the whole "Santa" thing figured out. You got a lot of very nice gifts this year for Christmas. Your grandparents got you an iPod, that plays music and movies and holds pictures. This is something you have been wanting for a long time. Your Dad and I got you one of the latest video systems, the Nintendo Wii. You also have been wanting one of these for a long time. One day we will have to tell you the story of how we had to get it! You got tons of other toys and stuff also. I think that you had a very nice Christmas!

New Room
I finally got your new room finished. You and your brother Sam are now sharing a room, to make room for the new baby coming in a couple months. I took the Spiderman down that has been up almost since we moved in and made it more neutral for you and your brother. It is nice and bright and hopefully enough space for the two of you! I hope that you like it!

Lawn Care
Today Daddy let you help cut the lawn. You rode on the tractor for part of the backyard and pushed the other lawn mower in the front yard. I can't believe how big you are getting and actually able to do "adult" jobs like that. You did a great job too! Now, that's one more thing that your dad has seemed to take off his to-do list!

4th Grade Play
Today you were in a play put on by all the fourth grade classes in your school. You are not really the out going type, so you took a small part as singing lumberjack. You did a great job singing and playing your part! Here are some pictures. (mind you Daddy does not take the best pictures...).

Your Tenth Birthday!!!
Today you turned double digits! A big deal at your age I guess (I know that it was big deal for me when I was that age). You were at your mom's for your actual birthday (and I heard that you got a new TV in your room - lucky you!). You are spending winter break at your dad's house this year so we got to celebrate with you on Monday evening. Daddy, Sam and I got you some new U of M pajamas and the movie "Cars." And since you are getting to that stage where you like to pick out your own things and we never know what you really want, we got you a gift card to Best Buy to have your own little shopping trip! You were really excited about that and couldn't wait to go shopping with it! We had some cake and Sam helped you blow out the candles! I hope you had a great 10th birthday! We love you, bud!
Here are all the pictures I took from your birthday - click here

Jacob's Own Page
I have decided that since I cannot seem to keep up with the scrap booking anymore, but I still want to place to keep pictures, milestones and just day-to-day stories in one place, that I am going to start a blog for each of the kids.
Most of this blog will start from Jacob's tenth year (since I already have a scrapbook that is kinda sorta half done for his first years through kindergarten and another one kinda sorta started almost finished for his school years of kindergarten through fifth grade).
So whoever wants to see anything and everything about Jacob just come on over here! (I am still keeping the family blog, which I will post things about the entire family.)
Note: This will be written as if I am talking to Jacob, since this is really their memento and I want them to be able to go back and read this like I was telling them a story about themselves.
