Disney Vacation

For Spring Break this year you got to visit to DisneyWorld in Florida! Boy were you lucky! You said that you had a great time and you took a ton of pictures (wonder if I am rubbing off on you a little bit with the picture taking?!).

Happy 12th Birthday!

Wow! You are 12! I can't believe that in one year you are going to be a teenager! OMG! I think you pretty much made out for your birthday, which you always seem to do. You got a guitar from your Mom and Darren. From your Dad and me you got Guitar Hero, some Bakugan and a new video game. And from your grandparents you got a PSP along with a new game. We had your favorite dinner, steak! and your favorite cake, a Bill Knapps Chocolate cake. I hope you had a wonderful 12th birthday!

Christmas Morning!

You awoke to Sam probably yelling at you "Jakey, get up, hurry Jakey, get up!" And without hesitation you jumped out of bed... you have the whole Santa thing figured out, but you are still pretty excited for Christmas morning! You helped Sam wake up Ben and within seconds you were leaping downstairs. You are an old pro at tearing through gifts and so you were the first to have everything opened. You got lots of Legos and lots of your latest craze, Bakugan! You also got video games, a Nerf gun, some books and trading cards. You got a new digital camera from your Grandparents, which you were also very excited about. You tried to help Ben unwrap some presents, but he only had interest in one toy. I think that you had a great Christmas morning and were VERY happy with all your presents. And then you got to do it all over again at your mom's.... what a lucky boy you are!

Fall Pictures

You sure keep getting more and more handsome these days. You are really growing up. You are in the sixth grade now in middle school. So far it seems like you have adjusted well in the new school setting. You are a huge help with your brothers. Mostly with Ben, since he doesn't bother you too much yet! Sam and you get along most of the time, but there are times you just want to do "non little kid things." Here are some new pictures of you from my annual fall picture taking. You are always so great at taking pictures now (compared to your little brothers!).

Boy Scouts Biking

Today you and Daddy got up super early and headed to a huge park to go bike riding with your boy scout troop. It was a little chilly, but you both bundled up and had a nice time biking. You rode your bikes all day long. You were also suppose to camp out, but since the temperature was to get below freezing, you decided to come back home and sleep in your warm beds instead! You and Daddy had a good time and got a lot of exercise! More pictures here!

Happy 11th Birthday!

Today is your 11th birthday! It's amazing how quickly these years are going by. We are going to celebrate in a couple weeks with all of the family.

Crossing Over

Tonight at the Blue and Gold Ceremony, you crossed over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. You had to speak at the ceremony, "At the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum we got to explore and try all kinds of things." In order to make this cross over you had to earn the Arrow of Light. This is the highest rank in Cub Scouting and is the only badge of Cub Scouting that may be worn on the Boy Scount Uniform. You have done a lot of hard work to get this far and I am very proud of you. Merry Christmas 2007

Now that you are getting older, I think this is the first year that you had the whole "Santa" thing figured out. You got a lot of very nice gifts this year for Christmas. Your grandparents got you an iPod, that plays music and movies and holds pictures. This is something you have been wanting for a long time. Your Dad and I got you one of the latest video systems, the Nintendo Wii. You also have been wanting one of these for a long time. One day we will have to tell you the story of how we had to get it! You got tons of other toys and stuff also. I think that you had a very nice Christmas!

New Room

I finally got your new room finished. You and your brother Sam are now sharing a room, to make room for the new baby coming in a couple months. I took the Spiderman down that has been up almost since we moved in and made it more neutral for you and your brother. It is nice and bright and hopefully enough space for the two of you! I hope that you like it!

Lawn Care

Today Daddy let you help cut the lawn. You rode on the tractor for part of the backyard and pushed the other lawn mower in the front yard. I can't believe how big you are getting and actually able to do "adult" jobs like that. You did a great job too! Now, that's one more thing that your dad has seemed to take off his to-do list!
